Boats

Small Boats

We operate on 24′ Ranger Bay Boats for our fishing trips, eco-tours, and snorkel trips. We find them to be the perfect platform for a day on the water. They are stable and comfortable on the ocean side but still manage to get into skinny water when we get in to the Florida Bay.

The boats hold six people and there is ample seating for all: choose to sit on the bench seat in back, next to the captain, or in front of the helm. There is a cooler on board that will hold as much as you want and a removable boarding ladder that hangs off the back. As to the ladder: it works quite well,  but we will give you a helping hand if you need it of course. If you have a bum knee, the ladder won’t work for you . . .but we can get creative if necessary.

The Big Boat

For larger groups, we can offer the use of a 40′ motor catamaran, “The Sanctuary”. This boat has comfortable bench seating for 39 people, is mostly shades, is equipped with a marine toilet, and offers two comfortable boarding ladders (perfect even if you have bum knee).

We use this vessel primarily for snorkel trips, dinner cruises, sunset cruises, and environmental tours. This is not a fishing boat (licensing etc are prohibitive). The beauty of the boat is that it can get in to the super skinny waters of our near shore ocean and the Florida Bay. It can also easily travel under bridges.

Many of our guests hunt for a luxury yacht for their Keys Cruise and really . . . those boats don’t exist here primarily because of the shallow water constrictions and all of the bridges. If you are looking for a luxury yacht you should go to Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, or maybe Key West.

Lots of Little Boats

We can also have Hobie Waves and Pau Hana Paddle Boards for rental.

The Waves are 14′ catamarans and have been made specifically for the rental market by Hobie. They are super conservative and extremely easy to sail. If you have sailed anything, you can sail these boats. In fact, if you are a speed racer, you may find these a little slow.

The Pau Hanna Paddle Boards are a great option for getting on the water and getting a little exercise. On these stand-up paddle boards you can cruise in the clear, shallow waters and see for miles! The experience is strangely satisfying: you will feel like a native Hawaiian conquering new territory (well, you will at least be getting a great work out and a great tan!).
