Spanish Gardens Cafe We simply can’t say enough about this divine restaurant. There is no view so go after sunset or go for lunch if you need to get out of the sun (or do lunch take out!). You will find find beautiful fresh salads (do order the white bean salad), and simply extraordinary fare created by Jose and served by Oscar.

Keys Island Grill Great local place under the bridge. Go in your shorts and t shirts and have a great bite to eat. The atmosphere is relaxed and it seems authentically islandy. Can I suggest the tuna nachos? or the fondue potato chips?

Ziggies Yum! That is all – just yum! Great place that you will want to take a shower for. And put on a clean t-shirt. Okay – wear shoes as well. They are open for lunch and dinner and have heavenly food. They actually have a lot of meat on the menu so keep it in mind if you have had enough fish sandwiches.

Morada Bay / Pierre’s I think everyone who visits Islamorada makes their way to this property. Have a drink in Pierre’s bar (you will want to make this bar your home) and then eat at Morada Bay.  The sandy beach, islandy music, and tropical menu transports you.

Lovely Resorts

Check in to these resorts Cheeca Lodge, The Moorings, Casa Morada, or Sea Isle Resort if you have a need to be wined, dined, and pampered. All are lovely in their own way and are superbly expensive.

If you want to spend more money on your recreation than your room (which we think is a great idea), try The Islander, Pines and Palms, or Lime Tree Bay Resort.

Back Country Cowboy These folks are just the greatest. They offer kayak and bike rentals and tours. They also sell great clothes to keep you looking good out there in the wilderness.

Gallery Morada Don’t leave the island without stopping in for a visit. Lori Hagood is the proprietor and has a keen eye to create a delicious collection of art and gifts.
