A little something about us.

Captain Xavier Figueredo is a Cuban born American who grew up in New York.

His formal training is as a respiratory therapist. He received his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Master’s degree from the University of Colorado. He has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist since 1978.  As a health care professional he spent 18 years working as a clinical therapist, educator and hospital administrator.

Since moving from Colorado to the Keys in 1994, his sense of adventure and lifelong love of the water moved him to obtain his United States Coast Guard Masters captain’s license. He has worked professionally as a captain chartering fishing, sailing and eco-touring excursions, operating parasail boats and co-managing a thriving watersports company.

For fun he likes to play on the water. Besides exploring, fishing, sailing, and diving throughout the Florida Keys, he has cruised extensively in the Bahamas in the Berry Islands, Andros and the Exumas. "But there is nowhere I'd rather be than on the water in the Florida Keys". Be assured that Captain Xavier takes his fun on the water very seriously!

Captain Elizabeth Jolin hails from the mid-west. It is possible that it was the years she spent growing up on a farm that made her thirsty for the ocean.

She received her formal education from Boston University and went on to work in Washington D.C. in the field of market research.

One slushy April she vacationed in the Florida Keys and two weeks later she had quit her job and had relocated to a houseboat bayside of Islamorada. And this is where her new career had its beginnings.

After learning to scuba dive she moved right into obtaining her United States Coast Guard captain’s license. She used this license to run eco-tours for a local watersports company and loved every minute of it. Eventually she decided to start her own business and today is busy in all aspects of the business of watersports.
