Good Salty Fun

What better way to spend some quality time with your friends and family than fishing for fun in some of the world’s most beautiful coastal waters? Somehow, as you focus on finding the fish, casting, and working your line, all other concerns and worries drift away.

Fishing is about enjoying the outdoors, nature, and companions. It can be relaxing, with time for conversation and contemplation, or it can be exhilarating and strenuous; demanding all your effort and concentration.

We think fishing is a fabulous way to learn to respect and appreciate our environment and wildlife. For us, half the fun of this sport is just being out on the water, watching the birds , the sky and the water. We believe in catch and release, with minimal handling and trauma to the fish. But we’ll lead you to some delicious eating fish if you prefer. There’s nothing tastier than some freshly caught and prepared grouper, snapper, or hogfish.

We love to teach kids and beginners how to fish on a fun fishing trip. Most kids love the sport even if they have never tried it before. All beginners gain a great sense of accomplishment after learning how to bait a hook, cast, and actually land a fish. Whether it’s a pretty little snapper, a stubborn grouper, or a 100lb tarpon, there is quite a thrill in landing that fish. We’ll show you how to handle and release it unharmed so it can continue to live and breed. We appreciate the importance of maintaining a sustainable fishery.

The fishing is endless

The Florida Keys waters contain a huge variety of fish and many different, but interdependent ecosystems.

For lots of action and the largest variety of fish, we can fish the outer reef, patch reefs and shipwrecks on the Atlantic Ocean side; or we can target big tarpon in the channels. If you want to pursue snook, redfish, or big sharks, we’ve got miles and miles of scenic Florida Bay to access on a backcountry fishing trip. Here we can fish on the deeper grass flats, mangrove islands, and channels. A nice day’s catch may include several different types of snapper, grouper, mackerel, snook, sea-trout, ladyfish, jacks, and sharks. Whether you are an experienced angler specifically targeting one of Islamorada’s gamefish, or a novice looking to catch your first fish, we can make it an unforgettable experience.

For even more adventure, consider a full day kayak fishing trip deep in the Everglades. We depart Islamorada by boat and travel to the mainland, where we board our kayaks and paddle into some very remote and primitive mangrove forests where snook, redfish, tarpon, birds, crocs and gators seldom see humans.
